Had he not lost to his hero at ally pallet he'd probably have won that as well.
The best player in the world at the minute.
He was struggling a bit at the time though, played awfully against West just before Taylor. Wasn't that when he started to have back problems?

Ah your right, could well have been.
Won the last two majors though which is a great effort.

The season-to-date OoM, thanks to Burton. Dimitri in horrifying company.

Burton DeWitt @bsd987 13h
As we get into the business end of 2018, Ian White is the highest ranked non-Premier League player on the season-to-date Order of Merit. Raymond van Barneveld could be outside the top 64 after the next couple of weeks.

Dimitri seems to have done nothing all year beyond the world cup.

Also beat MVG and Anderson in the Germany World Series, lost to Mensur in the final.

The Quarter-Finals of PC6 and PC14 are the furthest he's got in ranking events. Bleak.

World series is just an exbo, gain experience but little else.
Hopefully with some prolonged meaningful darts ahead (finally) he might come to the fore.

he certainly needs to have a run if he is going to get into the 32 by end of year, otherwise it could be another year of struggling to qualify for the majors and TV
He definitely has the game for it, just needs a bit of consistency

Burton DeWitt @bsd987
Ian White 10th PDC title—moving him level with Wayne Mardle, Michael Smith and the legendary Mark Walsh for 18th place all-time—lifts him above Raymond van Barneveld for 11th on the Order of Merit. Ricky Evans jumps up to #52, just outside the top 50.

What a transformation for Evans and Payne! Not long ago, they were struggling to keep hold of their tour cards, now they are comfortable and can look forward to the big events towards the back end of the year

Whitey exactly 100k clear of Bunting. What fun.

Burton DeWitt @bsd987
Here is the Order of Merit as it will stand on Thursday after a trio of 2016 events fall off the ranking.
No major shifts midweek, although Ryan Searle is even closer to the Top 64 by Thursday.

"OoM for dummies"
What's the difference between this ^^

and this: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=8168&p=797431#p797431

Both updated by Burton today.
Minimum money added to the left one so it's even more confusing

I guess the one on the left is the Worlds qualifying OOM so all money defended between now and December is taken off. The current OoM is the right pic.

So you mean that MvGs 2016 titles are taken off: Grand Prix, Euro Finals, Grand Slam and PC finals?
if not then I have no idea what you're talking about ;)

Yes.

Look at how big is the difference in MVG's prize moneys in the two tables. That's because he's won a lot of titles in 2016 so he's defending all that money.

Compare that to Cross, who wasn't even playing events really in 2016, so he has almost no money to defend.

Chizzy was defending semi-final money and reached the quarters. Not bad really.

Burton DeWitt @bsd987
Michael van Gerwen's 30th major or premier title keeps him more than double World #2 Peter Wright's total on the Order of Merit, as Jermaine Wattimena moves into the top 32 for the 1st time & Darren Webster (13), Jonny Clayton (19), and James Wilson (26) move to new career highs.
