Love the moment where he sets them on Columbo and they just go nuts licking him.
Trying to kill Columbo happened quite a lot, that one, the blowfish one, the lady in waiting where she tried to shoot him, sure there were others.
Certawa couple you won't have seen yet.

The show has a light feeling which can mask the cuntery that's aroundd. What sort of a cunt kills his wife by lobbing her off a boat, then trains his own dogs to kill her lover then tries to kill his dogs? Not sure how it manages to feel cosy with all that going on.Randall wrote:Love the moment where he sets them on Columbo and they just go nuts licking him.

I've got two oof the 70s episodes remaining, 'the conspirators' and 'make me a perfect murder'. Then onto the reboot series. Jumps from 1978 to 1989.

The conspirators is the ira one I think.
The title of the other one doesn't immediately ring a bell.
Billy connelly is the killer in one of the 80s ones!

Kim Cattrall was in the dog one. Looked up a pic and found her tweet about it.
Kim Cattrall @KimCattrall
Me and the Gr8 Peter Falk in Columbo. One of my 1st BIG breaks. He was so kind and lovely.

Yup, the Irish one. Entertaining but sod all happened that I noticed. The poet's habit of fingernail marking levels on bottles of whiskey was his downfall. Some horrendous Irish accents and a nice scene where he plays darts with Columbo. Size of those trebles etc.Randall wrote:The conspirators is the ira one I think.

These two were having a great time making it but to me it was one of those 90min eps that just seemed long for the sake of it.

'Make Me A Perfect Murder'
Fit bird TV exec thinks she's built an alibi as she nips out the projector room for a few mins to shoot her superior/lover.
Remember any of the things that catch her out, Randall? There's quite a lot this time, a good one.

If I'm thinking of the right one, I remember something about him putting a gun above the lift and tricking her into retrieving it and dooming herself?Rogg wrote:'Make Me A Perfect Murder'

That's the one. Also her colleague remembered which scene of the movie was on the screen when he returned to the room, which proved that she'd changed the reels later than she claimed. Her boss was the waldorf salad guy from Fawlty Towers I think.Randall wrote:If I'm thinking of the right one, I remember something about him putting a gun above the lift and tricking her into retrieving it and dooming herself?Rogg wrote:'Make Me A Perfect Murder'

That's the end of the 70s then. 45 episodes in the bin. Impressed by your recall I must say.

The later ones I have seen much less often.
The 70s ones were on almost constantly on in afternoons in the 90s.

Just watched this one! Interesting twist of the format, Columbo chasing a non-existent crime for 70 minutes. Humiliated, literally throwing stuff at him and getting him wet. Utter cunts.Randall wrote:The 70s ones are generally better but several of the later ones rank among my favourites.
The one at the playboy mansion I loved.
The actual 'Columbo' here is under 20mins long. How can he tell that the woman in the car is someone else, and how does he find the body?

That's the one. Pager klaxon as the show heads into the excitement of the 90s.Randall wrote:The body is in the wall, he called her phone/pager.Rogg wrote:Just watched this one! The car clue was where she she was seen waving on the security camera, and wasn't wearing her pager bracelet. The real (dead) woman still had it on her wrist. Not so clever in the end was he, the cunt. Columbo leaves a message on it, just for him. Really enjoying the reboot series.
