Foreign films are generally only good for the brief sex scene.
I thought REC was quite good.

Similar to those "special discretion required" films with the red triangle in the top corner of the screen that channel 4 used to screen late on a Friday night in the mid eighties.Justin Credible wrote:The Shank wrote:You're watching the wrong foreign films if they only have brief sex scenes.D & B wrote:Foreign films are generally only good for the brief sex scene.

Must admit Hutchy, I'm a little disappointed.
When I saw that the forum wordsmith had made the latest post in this thread i was eagerly anticipating recommendations of some intellectual foreign films from the 50s or obscure series from Indonesia or something like that.

Talking of Indonesia "The Raid" is a cracking film if you like blood & snot kung-fu with a raw edge. The Shank wrote:Yep, most of those films were a load of shite.Hutchy72 wrote:Similar to those "special discretion required" films with the red triangle in the top corner of the screen that channel 4 used to screen late on a Friday night in the mid eighties.Justin Credible wrote:The Shank wrote:You're watching the wrong foreign films if they only have brief sex scenes.D & B wrote:Foreign films are generally only good for the brief sex scene.

It's in my top 5 action films of all time, sequel's not too shabby either.Hutchy72 wrote:Talking of Indonesia "The Raid" is a cracking film if you like blood & snot kung-fu with a raw edge. The Shank wrote:Yep, most of those films were a load of shite.Hutchy72 wrote:Similar to those "special discretion required" films with the red triangle in the top corner of the screen that channel 4 used to screen late on a Friday night in the mid eighties.Justin Credible wrote:The Shank wrote: You're watching the wrong foreign films if they only have brief sex scenes.

Reminds me. Hard Boiled (Hong Kong). Find it nearly impossible to follow the plot, but it is possibly the greatest action film ever made. John Woo at his completely-over-the-top best.
