Fucking annoying in this day and age you need to have a fucking landline and pay over £15 a month for rental of it.

Re: The future of Sky tv
pros and cons of every company going with one with best deal always good.Noisycrowds wrote:broadband phoneline rental and evening weekekend call £26 for me with plusnet
For example a con of plusnet is that they traffic manage/shape ( albeit it might not directly affect you however doesnt change the fact that they do it ) where as sky and the bt infinity 2 package dont
however a pro of plusnet is that they ll happily let you use a 3rd party router and give you the ISP login details you require to set that router up however sky and BT wont allow you(however you can if you know how) to do this ( even though plusnet is basically BT they still have different rules for this )

Re: The future of Sky tv
i dont live in a virgin area so not an option however i still wouldnt go to them either they are the worst culprits for traffic management if i was paying for 200mbsec fibre thats what i would fucking want.Noisycrowds wrote:same reaason i left bt as there customer service was shit and they lie to you

I get 72mbsec with sky right now and it never deviates / or very rarely does which is handy considering i used 500 - 1000gb a month easily

again all personal preference and what you can afford or want to pay for it.Noisycrowds wrote:my mate needs it as he does illegal film downloads and wants it done quick

If you got a household with 3 kids who all have tablets / laptops / consoles / phones all with netflix on them plus you have sky and 3 multiscreen boxes with regular family members downloading from ondemand along with a Kodi box that gets used regularly for streaming movies/tv shows and have your gas and electricity meters connected via the wifi along with your lighting and any other electrical appliance that will connect these days....
the 42mb can get a bit stretched haha

Re: The future of Sky tv
im only 32 but i can remember back in the day paying AOL £34.99 a month for internet ( not including my BT line rental) and was getting 56Kps lol and happy with it ! now 40mb is only 800 x faster than that and we complain at needing to pay £25 a month including line rental hahaNoisycrowds wrote:haha yes we only have 1 kid and 2 tvs
