ive been to at least 1 festival a year since 2004 so ive seen hundreds of bands, along with doing a minimum of 5-10 gigs a year so would take forever to list them, but a quick list would be

Machine Head 6 times
Megadeth 5 times
Lamb of God 5 times
Trivium 4 times
Rammstein 3 times
Iron Maiden 3 times
Black Sabbath twice
Motorhead twice
and pretty much every heavy metal/rock band at least once with the exception of AC/DC or Guns and Roses ( ive seen slash with myles kennedy and thats better)
and 1 im ashamed to admit
Lionel Richie.................

Re: gigs
was a birthday present for my parents and my ex a few years back, i thought it would be awkward if i just sent all 3, so i bought myself 1 and sat there thinking "what the fuck have i done?" i then proceeded to be shouted at for not getting up and dancing!Darth Randall wrote:gonk wrote:ive been to at least 1 festival a year since 2004 so ive seen hundreds of bands, along with doing a minimum of 5-10 gigs a year so would take forever to list them, but a quick list would be

Re: gigs
I wish i hadnt of gone, as much as his music is ok in a bar as background noise. Seeing that rubber faced cunt dragging "Hello" out for ages on a piano was the final strawDarth Randall wrote:my ex brought two lionel tickets, i sent my sister!

Re: gigs
I remember having to listen to Lionel Richie before getting a shag. Was outta there immediately after as seconds didn't sound appealing!gonk wrote:ive been to at least 1 festival a year since 2004 so ive seen hundreds of bands, along with doing a minimum of 5-10 gigs a year so would take forever to list them, but a quick list would be

Re: gigs
since my favorite bands are not the conventional musical superstars, they play the lesser venues.
Seen New Model Army in cork , london and dublin, and in one of the NMA cork gigs ended up sitting drinking with them afterwards, same with Aslans,.
Seen metallica at the point in dublin around 20 years ago, saw pantera when they were only starting out in the later 80s in a pub type gig, coincidentally in the same pub that dicie now plays darts for

Re: gigs
at the time I had not even gone to see them,We knew there would be music on , and being a rock type bar at the time we had no idea who, free entry as welll as it was their early days.
My buddy who has a back like a leopard cos he is so freclled and looks like an enimic ian dowie was working in the pub doing labour work, and after the gig hewas helping them haul the amps and stuff to the truck, and had gis top off.The band ended up getting a photo with my buddy in the background with his back turned working on the stage, they said they never saw such a white ffreckled guy in their life.
We and my buddy never thought much about it til long after when they hit the big time, and if honest thats only what i really remember about the gig. Used to be pissed an awful lot back then
