Which statement?

If its the golden years one

- Charming gimmicks and iconic walk ons- 2008 and the later arrival of King and his fanfare especially.

- Fucking loved the corny rooftop intros before the walk ons.

- Camaraderie, the players knew it was a jolly and didn't take it too seriously- Lewis, Whitlock and Wade all got on at the time, Jenkins and King, Jenkins and Wade, Barney and Part, Mardle and Manley, all good friends in that era. Only Big Doug totally aloof (elite mentality).

- Memorable moments- Big Doug vs Wade final, Barney nine darters, King throwing the darts over Taylor's head, Anderson vs Lewis in Glasgow (for the wrong reasons)

- Busy venues but not huge soulless domes with no atmosphere

Compare it to this year where everyone's a robot, boring or a cunt

All very biased reasons

2013- Barney second in the league, first year of the relegation format, Big Doug humbled and sickened by MVG in the final

2014- Barney wins it of course.

2015- Iconic lineup, Barney coming from the dead of 9th in Week 6 to going unbeaten in 7 for the second half. Also an orgasmic victory over a shit hot Doug in Glasgow. Very memorable relegation battle for the neutral where Wright went from 7th to down on Judgement Night. Bunting was there too.

2021- The year Clayton won of course but also the block format was great. Very unpredictable relegation battle aside from the terrible Durrant performance. Exciting race for the top 4 where none of the last 8 were terrible.

2022- the peak of Clayton's career imo. Wasted his all-time best darts on an unranked exhibition. The format change was also novel and fresh here for the first year.

And it was still a fairly fresh concept.

I think we all know the league format was better. If they want more games, just put it to 12 players. That's 6 games a night, isn't the same games every other week. Its not rocket science

With it only being 8 players involved it becomes stale to spectators after a few weeks, More so this year with Wright being less than competitive and only managing to win 2 matches, I think it would be more entertaining if it was 12 or even 16 players involved.

I'd make MvG the outsider of the four (I know the bookies won't). Never felt that way at the semi-final stage before.

Bellyboy playing Littler plays massively into his favour, his record against him is imperious.

I see Smith beating Littler but losing to Humphries in the final
