Good interview here with Devon Petersen about the growth of darts in Africa and his current game. Comes across as a good man and there’s a lot of good work going on in Africa
An injury has had a big affect, don’t expect him to get back to that peak he had but it’d be nice to see him on the tour. Him losing every game in modus last night was sad to see

Its always a tough ask to come back after any injury that has an impact on your throw, The important thing as I have learned over the years is that you have to allow yourself time to recover fully and also taking a step backwards to rebuild confidence and get back to playing regular darts is no bad thing, Devon trying to push himself to play at the top level is possibly doing him more harm than good mentally.

His peak came and went very quickly.
A bit like doug mountjoys second coming
Mountjoy's 1988 UK Championship final win over Hendry, 16-12, was something else
I remember it well
Played fantastic snooker
If memory serves he won 2 majors that year
Only 3 majors in snooker mate
Worlds
UK
Masters
Mountjoy has 3 in total
2 UKs and a masters.
That wasn't true at the time though, as I believe there were 4 Tournaments on the BBC then and the Triple Crown was not a thing.
The other tournament he won that season was the Mercantile Credit Classic which had a £55,000 winner's prize compared to £62,000 for the Masters and £80,000 for the UK.

Mercantile credit classic was shown on ITV iirc.
I used to watch snooker as a kid in the 80s and I don’t recall snooker events being referred to as majors. Even back then the big 3 were the same as now.
I’ve only ever heard reference to the triple crown fairly recently.

Snooker like darts has 1 tournament that is massively more important than the rest.
I don't think you could argue the Masters and UK were Majors in 89 and the Mercantile wasn't though.
