Re: 2024 Premier League
Humphries is by far and away the best player in the world at the moment.
Still at a loss to understand how Dimitri beat him at the UK Open, but still Luke has won won 4 of the last 6 majors, despite that loss.

Re: 2024 Premier League
Was a tough week for him that, having played in the Prem and then going all the way in the UK Open, I think he was feeling it. Easy to forget with how good he's been in the last year or two that this is his first full campaign in the PL, he didn't hit the ground running right from the off, but boy is he now...The real ssjsa wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2024 11:50 pm Humphries is by far and away the best player in the world at the moment.

Even during those opening weeks of the PL, Humphries mostly played well.thegentle wrote: ↑Fri Mar 22, 2024 12:20 amWas a tough week for him that, having played in the Prem and then going all the way in the UK Open, I think he was feeling it. It was more that his opponents during those weeks played exceptionally.

Ever since he said "If youd told me I would play against Aaron Beeney in the semi final, I wouldnt have bothered getting out of bed in the morning" ive always wanted him to fail. The real ssjsa wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2024 10:34 pmWhy? Is it because you don't like Michael as a player or have found him a not particularly likeable individual.
Personally I think he is an amazing darts player, and having met him on multiple occasions, have to say I have found him to be a very well rounded individual and a genuinely nice guy who always has time for darts fans.

Whilst I imagine away from darts, he’s a nice and pleasant guy, he’s said his fair share of petulant and stupid things within the darting realm

This is for Sky Sports Main event only. It's often on two channels but I'd have to pay for theose extra figures so nope.
1st Feb: 271k
8th Feb: 276k
For some context, the live Friday night Championship football games, Main Event only, on the corresponding Friday nights:
2nd Feb: 271k (Bristol City v Leeds)
9th Feb: 173k (Sheff Wed v Birmingham)
In the PL Darts slot that night was Super League (rugby league). The game was Hull FC v Hull KR, the opening match of the season. It got 77k on Main Event. Adorable.
No sod watches Super League lolol. PL Darts seems to get 3 or 4 times the audience.
A big jump. Don't know why. It was miles ahead of everything that week on Main Event apart from 2 PL football games.
