Re: The Trials and Tribulations of Team Malt

Following the highs of the Premier League last night with Aspinall and Cross in the final i'm left feeling discombobulated as O'Connor, Lennon, Boulton, Edhouse and Scutt all lose at the first hurdle.

Up to Beaton, Super Mario and the high ranked boys to save my weekend from misery

Absolute vile washout of an event so far for Team Malt

Roll on Smudger, Searle, Asp and Cross having good runs.

Hope Claydon, Lukeman and Mansell also get through

Cross, Aspinall and Smudger survive. A shitty day 1 as barely anyone even made any cash... but in perspective unless you go really deep there's not even that much money in the UK Open unless you go deep. Usher for example has won 3 games and made 4.5k, which could be made up on a good weekend at the pro tours

Cross's stinker in that quarter final sums up the weekend for the team.

Devon Petersen also out of the World Cup team, sad times indeed.

We go again next week at the Euro Tour

Lukeman is definitely viable as a future squad member

Team Malt have been on fire since my last post, as Sex Factor went back to back on the Challenge Tour to get himself into 2nd place. Whoever you are to win 14 games in a row at that level is a huge achievement.

Meanwhile Cross made the ET final and only lost because Littler is just ridiculous, other than the UK Open blip against Evans he's been in great nick.

Good day today on the Pro Tour with Smudger getting a semi and a decent run from Willie.

Unfortunately Cross, Aspy and Joycey all sacked it off

Good run from Smudger making a semi and respectable board finals for Willie and Edhouse with some ton plus performances

Quiet weekend on the darts front coming up. Maybe I need someone from the Womens Series to become a member of Team Malt. I like Fallon but would rather maybe root for someone outside of the top 5. Any suggestions?

In the spirit of Team Malt I would suggest Jo Locke or Kim Holden

All brilliant shouts. Gilbert, respectfully a slow plodder with a nice story behind her. Byrne, a young talent who is on the up. Aoife who is quite easy on the eye and a perfect member due to her ongoing relationship with Scuba...

I will take time to mull over my options.

If Yuki played regularly she would always be my number 1

Congratulations to Edhouse for qualifying for both euro tours today, a very good start to the year .

Ross Smith has also had a quietly good start to the year on the tour, I think he made 3 semi finals in a row

Quite happy with the shape of the team at the moment in terms of tour card holders. I expect more from O'Connor though, frustratingly inconsistent

Steve Beaton is 99th on the Year to Date OOM with only 5k :( but don't think he's been playing too bad tbh

Looking forward to the weekend as Edhouse and Willie qualified for the ET, but no Joycey for this one and the next :(
