The German and Ukrainian ones. Could easily be entered into the other European Qualifiers

Re: The Greatest Show on Earth - 2024 PDC World Championship
They did allow the non-Super League Germans into the West Europe qualifier last year, I'm thinking that's perhaps a sign of things to come

Re: The Greatest Show on Earth - 2024 PDC World Championship
Idea for the two missing qualifiers (German Super League is probably happening unfortunately)
*West Europe Super League (Benelux)
*Rest of Europe Super League
32 players are invited to each event, a three stage event which will be streamed on PDCtv. Players are invited based on 3 criteria in order to reach 32 players.
1. PDC rankings based on the new rules
2. PDC OOM
3. CT OOM
4. Q-School OOM if we get that far
Stage 1- 8 groups of 4, winners and RUs progress
Stage 2- 2 groups of 8, top 4 progress in each
Stage 3- QF-F based on A1 vs B4, B2 vs A3 top half, B1 vs A4, A2 vs B3
*West Europe Super League (Benelux)
*Rest of Europe Super League

Just get rid of the PDPA qualifier! If you can't get in the top 64 of the tour you don't deserve to play.

Re: The Greatest Show on Earth - 2024 PDC World Championship
No tour players need a last chance especially if they couldn't play the whole year for whatever reason. Also the quality of the field is strong and you would expect someone in form to make it
But it should always be limited to 2 players at max. If an international qualifier can't play PDC should always favour people from the same region to be the replacement

Re: The Greatest Show on Earth - 2024 PDC World Championship
Yeah, it's proper wanky that you can do nothing all year, lose in the final of the PDPA qualifier and get in. At the Worlds before last, there were 6 players from the PDPA qualifier to play at the Worlds, which is a bit ridiculous (perhaps they could have got an Iberian replacement for Rodriguez although in the cases of Losper and Wen, it wouldn't have been easy to rope in a replacement from those regions)The Thorn wrote: ↑Wed Jun 07, 2023 6:33 pmNo tour players need a last chance especially if they couldn't play the whole year for whatever reason. Re: The Greatest Show on Earth - 2024 PDC World Championship
I remember they used to get the highest ranked non-qualifier on the main OoM to fill in any gaps for international players who couldn't make it, Colin Osborne benefitted from that once. On the face of it, that's a fair enough way to fill gaps that otherwise can't be filled, although sometimes that player is someone who is in awful form (as of now it's Soutar, who, like Lukeman just behind him is not far from the ProTour spots for the Worlds, but King is just behind them in the provisional rankings and his form is rancid). I think the best way is to use the next player on the ProTour OoM, that way you've got someone who probably isn't on horrible form, but either way is better than reaching the final of a tournament for players who couldn't make it the proper way
