Seen people describing the Chinese win as the "performance of the era"
What a pile of shit
I guess you think fighters from your era were better such as Jack Dempsey and Gene Tunney?
"Your era"

Couldn't be worse than these 2
The Chinese was as quick as my bowel movements and he still couldn't miss
Joyce blocked all his punches with his face
Great tactics.

It worked wonders for Rocky Balboa.

I’m glad I didn’t say Jim Corbett or Bob Fitzsimmons now.

In fairness, I suspect Lennox Lewis would make easy work of this era. I think he'd even stop Fury.

There was a period between in the mid to late 2000s where it was arguably worse.
These were Ring Magazine's Heavyweight rankings in 2005:
Chris Byrd
Hasim Rahman
James Toney
Lamon Brewster
John Ruiz
Monte Barrett
Calvin Brock
Wladimir Klitschko
Samuel Peter
Nicolay Valuev

I think the 1980s was a weak era for HW boxing bar a few exceptions.
Here is every world champion of that decade ( WBA/WBC/IBF)
John Tate
Mike Weaver
Mike Dokes
Gerry Coetzee
Greg Page
Tony Tubbs
Tim Witherspoon
James Smith
Larry Holmes
Pinklon Thomas
Trevor Berbick
Mike Tyson
Michael Spinks
Tony Tucker
Holmes the best of that lot followed by Tyson ( who I think is vastly overrated) I’d go with Tim Witherspoon next who I think is underrated.

Wladimir is the stand out although he peaked after that period. Toney was a great fighter but he doesn’t get that rating for being a heavyweight. Byrd was decent but his best was before that time. Rahman got a Hail Mary punch in a few years earlier against Lewis.

I'd take Prime Tyson over any of the 2005 HW class, including Wlad.
I'd take Holmes over them all too, even though I don't rate Holmes as highly as most.

The Cordina fight last night was a fight of the year contender. Brilliant from both. I actually scored it 114-113 for Cordina with the knockdown making the difference. I don’t think you could have argued if it went the other way though. Hope they do it again.

I had it 115-112 for Cordina.
Tony Bellew's card was shite.

6 rounds each for me, I liked the foreigner better, preferred his style but Cordina with the kd edged it by a point.

That’s exactly how I saw it. I wouldn’t have complained if it had gone the other way. Bellew normally talks shyte but I didn’t see anything terrible about his scorecard.
