He cant lose really, should he fail at Q School he has a very handy backup, fair play to him.

I think he's got a good lot right now and shouldn't worry about Q School

Senior Events, CDC, PDC Worlds, WDF Worlds, Modus, World Series, World Cup of Darts*. Lots of darts

* if he can qualify for it

Not to forget soft-tip where he's regularly cleaning up in the US. Guy can't complain about having too few tournaments to choose from, that's for sure.

That interview reminds me of what BDO stalwarts used to say about possible moves to the PDC in the middle 2010s. I'd love to see Gates take a serious stab at the PDC, but I don't really see it happening.

"So far, Warner has enjoyed some well-deserved success on the professional circuit, as he made the last 32 of Players Championship 3 where he beat some considerable competition in Danny Jansen, Darryl Gurney, and Steve Lennon until bowing out to Josh Rock"

Erm, how do you win three games at a Pro Tour and lose in the Last 32? A neat trick that nobody has done for years.

Let's be fair. Those events are guaranteed to sell. I don't like it either and I want new countries but it will take time. PDC recently expanded to a lot of new countries, Poland, Czechia, Hungary, and Switzerland next year

Not enough weeks in the Calendar to fit those in.

The only way of going about it is if they put some Pro Tours together or/and when there is a World Series Event (The elite players won't mind missing a few surely)

If there were 20 or so of them players wouldnt be too fussed about missing them, same as the Pro Tour.

Just dont tell Jon Newbury.

So are the Euro Tour events tbf, but yes wouldnt like to see the Pro Tour events diminish to fit in more Euro events.

Well yes, you dont have to play them all I suppose, there is a golf event every week on the various tours, no player plays the lot, it will get to the point where players do that to avoid burnout. Suppose its a nice problem to have, the snooker lot are currently moaning about the opposite.
