and pairs games probably on average take longer than a singles game in the same format. They're a bit of a plod usually.

Cross has jumped ahead of him in the order of merit, but there's only 9k between them. I feel the Humphries/Smith duo feels like it's got more chance of working than Smith/Cross

Hump and Smith sounds the best. Cut-off date is May 29th so lots of darts before selection happens.

world cup doubles tournie all the way through! yes! that's super great!

I suggest they also should not lock in the throwing order of the teams.
sometimes yer hot, sometimes yer not.
let the team captain decide and if they want to switch up who tosses first or second at some point during the match, let 'em.
let 'em, I say!
we've got the technology to accomodate this and still keep track.
I only hope we can handle the excitement level.

Greece and Slovenia might feel a bit aggrieved at being snubbed in favour of some of those countries (Norway at a push too although before recently we hadn't seen Cor Dekker for a while), I suppose some will say Russia too although we know why they've been excluded (not touching that topic with a 10 foot bargepole!). Not surprised to see Bahrain as they're clearly pushing the sport there. India could be a solid team if they have Kumar and Jiwa, China might be half-decent this year if Zong plays, don't know that much about Ukrainian darts in normal times, let alone these, but Omelchenko didn't disgrace himself at the Worlds so I won't mind seeing him again if they qualify, and Gibraltar have been improving in recent years with some decent young talents, it's difficult to see who the whipping boys might be, perhaps Italy?

Their team last year was nowhere near the best possible 2. There was 2 who seemed to win a fair chunk of games at Q School and had some decent averages, Krassen and can’t remember the other one, I think they can definitely win a game

Ukraine lad at worlds is a legend tounament needs him & Usyk to team up for Ukraine and do the job!

Bahrain will hopefully be the 2 old cunts who played in World Series that would be a right laugh

China will be still poor the other guy will average 58 anyway but it's good to see globalisation of the game

For Scotland I nominate Soots and Mad Cammy to form a team!
