family guy is awesome.
The Cleveland Show was much better. Almost as good as peak Family Guy.

Not that I recall. Probably more money in DVDs, particularly when it was most popular.
They released this first on DVD in 2005 then later edited it into 3 episodes.
(Yes Senna, I bought it)

Only just seen these replies. Everything I have read about the Cleveland Show suggested it was the weakest of Macfarlene's animated shows, although I will admit to having barely watched it.Captain Hobo wrote: ↑Fri Dec 30, 2022 10:23 amYeah, I gave up on American Dad too.Sheep Shagger wrote: ↑Thu May 26, 2011 4:05 pmAmerican dad is rubbish, cannot get into it at allDrZoidberg wrote:get american dad watched aswell wolfie.

American Dad was the new Family Guy at one stage. A standard line was that American Dad was the better show. Similar to how people tried to claim Family Guy was better than Simpsons in the early 2000s. I gave up on it around the same time I figured out that I hated Family Guy.
Btw, I've actually enjoyed the opening two episodes of South Park's latest series.

Re: Family Guy
The Cleveland show only ran for 4 seasons, while American Dad is still going at Season 19. Both shows are basically the same premise as Family Guy with slight tweaks but obviously American Dad found a bigger audience.sennafan24 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 21, 2023 1:17 amOnly just seen these replies. I probably would have got sick of it eventually but I found the Stewie and Brian equivalents (Rallo and Tim the Bear) to be quite funny and found the show similarly enjoyable to early Family Guy. Whereas American Dad just annoyed me right from the start.
I hadn't even heard there was a new season of South Park, will check it out tonight.

It's good that they've gone back to self-contained episodes.sennafan24 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 25, 2023 4:41 pmYour thoughts?Captain Hobo wrote: ↑Tue Feb 21, 2023 1:59 am I hadn't even heard there was a new season of South Park, will check it out tonight.
But I didn't think they were particularly funny. The Ye episode was very preachy. The Harry one had some funny bits but felt a bit stale.

I really enjoyed the Harry episode though. It felt like the sort of episode they would do years ago.
I agree it's great they have abandoned season-long stories.
