Re: 2023 World Seniors Championship
I hope Duff is already practicing hard for this. It wouldn't be a shame for Mitchell, if Thornton or Duff would steal the title from him.

Re: 2023 World Seniors Championship
Senna was taking the piss. Mitchell is probably the favourite for the title but a lot of people could win it.
Mitchell's odds are 11/2. Even if we go a bit shorter, say 4/1, that's still very far from being odds on favourite.

Re: 2023 World Seniors Championship
Last year Thornton 7/1 was the standout player with his seasonal average pre tournament. This time it's Scotty. Who's gonna beat him? £50 @ 11/2. Lucky to get a fiver on.

Last year they literally changed the format for the final on the day, with the final now in the same session as the semis I havent a clue if they keep it the same as last yearSuspect Device wrote:Have they sorted the format?

Fair play to them for reducing the cost for the stream. Last year it was £25 to watch all sessions and it's US$10 this time.

Rogg is desperate for this to fail
He told his mates at a book club that

I see the rationale for Thornton. I don't think Gates should have done it however.oche balboa wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 11:28 amDid the right thing. Re: 2023 World Seniors Championship
What Gates could get
World Seniors, WDF Worlds (2023 might be a struggle), World Masters, Modus, CDC Contential Cup, PDC Worlds, US Masters
All without a tourcard.

Re: 2023 World Seniors Championship
If he can't commit to playing in the UK regularly I understand that. But he is at a point in his career where he has hype around him from doing well in the PDC. They would go head over heels to have a tour card holder from the US again. With all respect to Van Dongen he hasn't been competitive on the tour. It's a possibility to make the next step in his career and when is he going to do it if not urgently? He's above 50 so doesn't have a lot of time. He's not on the decline yet.oche balboa wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 11:35 am What Gates could get

Opposed to someone like Thornton who doesn't really have a perspective in the pro game anymore. He's not going to improve at darts suddenly. He's better off being the big fish in a few small ponds.
