Hand has been ok following a few days rest. Ready to smash it, though more likely get smashed. No idea of the marking system being used if it's chalk / pen / electronic board? Best of 7 legs throughout, until there's 2 left standing with best of 9 in the final.

Don't keep me waiting Dave, mate!
I have not entered Chester tomorrow so if you have arranged anything to travel there with me then its not me who you have spoken to.

With all these entries at £10 a pop plus the massive increase in takings at each venue on each qualifier....What do Rileys actually give to the player that wins? :D

The honour of becoming a member of Riley's which you have to do before entering via the website Dave, I found it strange last week as every time you go to the bar for a beer you are asked your name which the bar staff then enter into a tablet to make sure that you are a member before serving you - We had 142 pay to enter Coventry last week but 19 never turned up so taht was the easiest £190 Riley's will ever make

Rileys should really give a prize to the winners to cover some of the costs of going to the UK open given how much they make from it.

PDC should also top up UK Open prize fund. You should get something if you win a game at least. It's ridiculous how UK Open prize fund is smaller than the Europeans and PC Finals despite having more players in it, and obviously being more prestigious!

I agree that even those who lose 1st round should get a bit of prize money as they have won through a qualifier to get there. Even if it's 100 quid

250 for first round, 500 for second. Would cost the PDC 24k.

Skint bastards

Make it 1000 for first round, 1500 for second.
Seems more reasonable.

I think you all are missing the point I have tried to make.

Anyone who qualifies through one of these UK open Riley's qualifiers has to then fund the cost of staying at Butlins (Circa £250 per person based on 2-4 sharing) And also travel and costs, Riley's take a lot of money on these qualifiers and the winners get fuck all, It seriously needs looking at as it appears just to be a money spinner for Riley's and all players get is a shitty shirt they are forced to wear because they qualified via a Riley's venue.

How can that in any way be fair if Riley's don't as much as contribute towards a players costs of playing in the UK Open? Personally if I qualified via this route I would refuse to wear one of their shirts unless they paid me to given what it would cost me to actually play at Butlins.

Disgusting...Even for Riley's who are well known to be more expensive on draft than any other pub in their areas.

It wouldn't surprise me if they whacked up the prices purely for the darts knowing players are there most of the day and have to pay it, Rileys in Worcester used to offer a discount on draft for their comps, I think it was 10% if I remember right but even with that they were a good 60-70p a pint more than the 2 nearest pubs, They started a money league in Worcester and gave the discount for the first week and then after they got everyone's entry fee and players in...They removed the discount which pissed just about everyone in it off.

I remember the Welsh Open at Pontins one year, A member of the bar staff told a few of us while outside smoking that because it was a darts weekend they stuck another 50p on the price of all pints.
