Either way I'm still looking forward to it
Taylor will surely average over 90 I can see Adams going over 90 as well.
We will find out soon anyway.

They don't write averages on trophies. Whoever wins will have come through a tough field full of legends with vast experience, in long format games.

Why will he surely average over 90?
Hasn't chucked a competitive dart in years?

Because he will put the hours in beforehand.

Maybe he could have dragged Taylor down, we will never know.

Aye, but few would accuse Taylor of having questionable bottle.

Philth has never been under pressure in his life, well apart from when he appeared at Dunfermline Sheriffs Court.

Any theories on why Randall is crapping himself over this tournament?

Aye, but few would accuse Taylor of having questionable bottle.

Chris Mason did before their quarter final match at the 1999 World Matchplay. He mentioned Ronnie Baxter beating Phil Taylor the year before, and how Peter Evison beat Taylor 8-1 in 1996. Mason then said "the man's got no bottle". Taylor laughed it off.

This

Nobody has seen him play for a year

Thornton, Adams, Lim, Ashton, Warren have all played competitive darts in the last 6 month

Nobody is giving him the trophy, he has got to earn it, but he is favourite for a reason. We are talking about the best player to ever throw a dart. When he bowed out it wasn’t like he was plummeting down the rankings he won the Matchplay and was world runner up. I don’t give a shit if he hasn’t played competitive darts since the Rob Cross final. He should still average over 90 pretty easily. I could only really see Adams and Thornton giving him a run for his money.
He has a wealth of experience to fall back on.
Having said all that, I hope he loses first game he plays. Anybody to win bar Taylor for me.

Dreams of peak Taylor showing up are just that
Nobody has or will suggest a peak Taylor showing up.

Being as Ted isn’t playing I’d like Lowe or John Boy to do well. I have to support the locals guys Image
