Re: Tis the time for a new season
Played well in the 4-a-side and pairs last night then got battered in the singles.
Not a great surprise after a few weeks out of action.
Team lost 11-10 so yes, all my fault really.
School report C, must do better but hey ho !!!
Spread was decent, the best so far this this season, a selection of freshly made sandwiches and a huge bowl of hot potato wedges.

Match cancelled tonight, one player away with work and another positive with the bug.
Hey ho, at least I didnt lose.
Might still go out for a practice as its badly needed.

Decent practice last night thanks fella.
Followed DBG's tips so ended up legless and couldn't hit a cows ass with a banjo.
OK thanks

It worked for DBG, it’s just the injuries put the brakes on a promising career before in really started..

Re: Tis the time for a new season
We try again tonight, hopefully.
Five games to go this season, two of which are re-arranged due to C-19 ( so say) and we're safely in the bottom half of the table.
Four of the games are against teams with a similar record to ours so hopeful for a few wins in the next few weeks.
Half an hour of practice last night and they were flying straight so fingers crossed.

Re: Tis the time for a new season
Lost 12-9
4-a-side was a 1-2 loss, should have won but apart from yours truly we were below par. I hit all three starting doubles ( a 120 in for the first leg) and the finishing double.
Pairs was a 3-0 win with yours truly smashing the doubles again.
Singles won 2-1 but really should have been 3-0
Spread was fairly basic but adequate.
Bread and cheese, pickled onions and sausage rolls.
OK thanks.

Re: Tis the time for a new season
12-9 win last night and another 3-0 singles success for yours truly but lost in the pairs !!
First 180 of the season, I'd been threatening it but glad to get it done last night.
Too many wets for a Tuesday but the spread was the best one of the season, chicken curry and quite a fiery one too so my mate eartha has had a good workout today !

Re: Tis the time for a new season
Just curious, in what range are the averages in that league of yours?

Re: Tis the time for a new season
Gidra....They don't print the averages on the plastic trophies they spend all season forking out to play for so what the fuck does it matter what the averages are??
