Buying a board

Post by Edgardinho » Sat Jan 09, 2021 4:36 pm

I’ve just about exhausted the internet trying to buy a specific dart board but stock is out everywhere.

Does anyone know a good supplier I could try?

Cheers,
Phil

It’s the PDC one. The Unicorn Eclipse HD2 (pro version).

It’s the HD I was after. I’m sure there’s almost no difference but once it’s in your head and all that!

Why do you want to buy an Unicorn board? Winmau Blades or One80 Gladiators are far superior. If you already tried those and just want something different then fair enough. But in my opinion it's a waste of money when you can get a far better board for less.

As far as I know I’ve never played on a Gladiator so would be a bit wary but will fully accept they are good. I’ve had two Winmaus in the past which were brilliant but it’s like driving the same brand car for ever - sometimes you just want a change. If I find out the board isn’t what I want then I can always sell it and lose a few quid but price isn’t really a factor as no board is massively expensive anyway.

I'd still advise you to buy the Gladiator 3 then. Cheaper and better than the Unicorn. Go to every sensible dart forum or social media and people will say the same, Winmau or One80 are the leading boards. I'd even get a Target Pro Tour or a Bulls Advantage rather than a Unicorn.

The board you used to get with the bullseye game in the 80s was better quality

I recommend the Blade 5 anyways, Unicorns dry out much faster.
