Is Portela playing in that qualifier?

I assume that there will only be 3 PDPA places this year. With a field of say 50 thats a good thing

It's going to happen eventually tbf, although naturally you'd be expecting the worst from a Central/South American qualifier who isn't Portela lol
I only expect shite from Portela so might as well be someone new

Rusty-Jake also doesn't have a card, so it's 61

Neither Rodriguez has a card. Rusty was one outside the cut off at Q School behind Marijanovic, who doesn't turn up. Phil Barrs will be livid.

A fair chance we might see the first Argentine representative at a World Championship, Jesus Salate, formerly of Spain, has decided to enter this for Argentina. One of the better players in Iberia, so you'd think he'd go far tonight

Surprisingly, there will be an Indian qualifier, you'd think Kumar and Gilitwala will be the favourites, although God knows if they'll be able to get into the country given I think they both live abroad

Kumar acted like a complete cunt when Gilitwala played last year, obviously the Indian selection was a shambles but he was just slagging off a young lad who was out of his depth who had nothing to do with the decision , should let Prakash Jiwa represent

Can understand why he was aggrieved given he didn't even get a shot at qualifying (I feel they did basically parachute Gilitwala only because he already lived in the UK, even though he apparently lead some rankings list in India), but he acted some cunt, especially considering Gilitwala did average 80 and he didn't in his first year!

Unfortunately I feel Jiwa probably won't bother as he's from Coventry, a trip to India in this environment would probably too much hassle despite the massive opportunity on offer!

Has Jiwa ever tried to qualify as the Indian representative?

No, I'm not even 100% sure that he has an Indian passport. In any case, even though he'd be a favourite, it would be a lot of hassle to have a jolly to India when he's got a full-time job!

As I thought, So why then try and push it that he should represent India and get automatic qualification?
