Re: The woes of the Covidiot Glen Dullard
Eric Bristow's dartitis would come and go. In 2004, when he beat John Lowe 6-1 in legs on the night of the champion vs. champion Phil Taylor vs. Andy Fordham match, Bristow played the best darts I've seen him play in years and no sign of the yips at all. He really beat Lowe up that night. Bristow narrowly failed to qualify for the 2005 World Championship though (while Lowe narrowly qualified), so Bristow must have played worse during the qualifiers. In 2008, during the League of Legends, Bristow was back to playing as badly as he was playing in the PDC around 1999-2000 time, awful, and his throwing release (in 2008) was now dreadful, similar to Durrant's throwing release in the last month.sennafan24 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 03, 2021 5:58 amThere is one thing I have never really understood about Bristow.
He had apparently got rid of his dartitis altogether by the early 2000s and he wasn't too old at that point. Yet, he never returned to form. Did he just lack motivation and decide to make his coin coasting on exhibitions?

With all the forfeits lately it makes you wonder how long Duzza will hold up in the one and only match he'll end up playing at the Worlds.

Think only one player has quit mid game at Ally Pally and that was Denis Ovens, who made it very clear beforehand he was injured.

Durrant will play his game, Perhaps lose 3-0 and get his money. Its a dream draw for the Pro Tour/International QualifiersThe Ginge Reaper wrote: ↑Fri Nov 05, 2021 9:40 am Think only one player has quit mid game at Ally Pally and that was Denis Ovens, who made it very clear beforehand he was injured.

If Duzza plays the winner of Barneveld vs Indian qualifier I doubt Barney would advance that easily. It's the easiest draw ever. How you wanna fuck that up? One thing to quit when you're on the way to losing in the first round of a floor event, another thing to quit on a guaranteed £15kThe Ginge Reaper wrote: ↑Fri Nov 05, 2021 9:37 am Aye he cant just give up at the Ally Pally.

Re: The woes of the Covidiot Glen Dullard
Durrant is currently 21st in the rankings. He won't really drop until the world championships as he isn't defending anything at the grand slam. He got to the semi two years ago but was a "BDO qualifier" and so that prize money did not go on his ranking.
Assuming he turns up to take his 15 grand for losing at the ally pally. He'll still be in the top 32 and then with the disrupted early 2020 season, he won't be in danger of really plummeting until the Matchplay 2020 semi final money comes off. He can afford to take some major time off. Doubt it will do him much good though.
