Wright's 2nd World Title and 2021 Matchplay triumph have put him in contention for top 10 all-time

He should be ranked above Lewis by now:

World Titles: 2-2 (also note that Wright had to beat MVG and play like a god to beat Smith to win his titles, whereas Lewis had a relatively easier game against Andy Hamilton to win his 2nd)

Matchplay Titles: 1-0 to Wright

UK Open Titles: 1-1 (I'd forgotten how well Wright played to win his, even if MVG wasn't in the field that year)

Players Championships: 1-0 to Wright

European Championships: 1-1

PDC Masters: 1-0 to Wright

Lewis does have far more World Cup titles, but I don't place that much value in them.

Maybe he could have dragged Taylor down, we will never know.

I'm inclined to put Wright up to Gando/Barney level now. He has definitely surpassed Lewis

Who someone beats in a final shouldn’t have any bearing on where they are placed on a GOAT listing. It’s not Lewis fault he had to beat Andy Hamilton to win his second world title.

Erm, yes it does. Context matters.

Would people rate Part as highly had he not beaten Taylor in the 2003 final and instead beaten a Manley or Mardle? I think not.

Whether he beats Taylor, Manley or Kirk Shepherd, the accolade is still the same. Sure it would feel better beating the likes of Taylor, but Part has no control of who he plays in the final. It’s not his fault that the so called better players were not good enough that event to play him the final.

Certainly an argument for Wright 8-10
Price isn't far off

Price is one world championship off the top 10. Which he might win in a few months, or might not win for 10 years.

I'm surprised no one mentioned Alan Evans of Wales in the polls
