Knowing how it's been going though there's probably gonna be a new super variant from Mars that's gonna fuck us over again

Kudos to the PDC for getting this on. Everyone on house arrest for 3 weeks now, there'll be a fair few positive tests though I reckon, maybe some old favourites.

Imagine how awful it would be get Covid just before Q-School, potentially fucks up your whole year. Kleermaker missing the Worlds was terrible for him, but at least he managed to get a good year in and has another chance this yearDeepFriedRat wrote: ↑Sat Jan 16, 2021 4:04 pm Kudos to the PDC for getting this on. Re: 2021 Q-School Watch
In the past month or so, i think I've 180d on the format. I did like that it got rid of the dross and it's longer now which is always more fun but I've changed my mind on the exemptions.
The CT and DT exemptions are okay but everyone who loses their card should have to start from scratch. I've got a feeling as a result we'll see a lot of the Murnan and Kirk Shepherd sorts stinking up the tour for another two years after having head starts.
The pressure of playing nobodies in Round 1 sometimes caused experienced cloggers and even not cloggers (Duzza vs Vince Tipple anyone?) to choke. We'll not see that this year. However, those that win through the first stage could burn out and we'll see old faces taking advantage in that case. Hopefully we'll see loads of new card holders, or at least, players returning after a few years away.

Re: 2021 Q-School Watch
The likes of Murnan and Kirk Shepherd are experts at winning cards back anyway, I don't think this will necessarily give them an advantage. If anything, I think the better players who emerge from the first stage might have a leg up having got warmed up before the main eventDeepFriedRat wrote: ↑Mon Jan 18, 2021 1:09 pm In the past month or so, i think I've 180d on the format. He's having a baby?
That sounds painful for him.
