PDC Autumn Series

Post by thegentle » Mon Aug 03, 2020 5:15 pm

Same concept as the Summer Series, taking part in Germany from September 12th to 16th. Will be a World Series qualifier the day before as the finals take place a few days after the AS finishes

I don't know what the Germans are saying RE events with crowds, but these events are taking place on the same weekend as the one remaining German ET event was supposed to take place. Hopefully they can rearrange that at some time

There will be no more Euro Tours this year now . Is the WSODF gonna have a crowd? Or behind closed doors.

This year is done like.

It doesn’t say anything about the Hungarian Darts Trophy which is supposed to take place on 4-6 September, but saying the Autumn series will come after the five Premier League nights suggests that this particular that the Euro tour is cancelled.

We lost the 2020 Giro d'Italia first, hopefully this won't happen to the ET event.

There would be no crowds anyway right? So does it even matter?

I don't know the rules in this case, mate. In our national football league there weren't crowd restrictions after the restart.

Having read it, I'll not bother. It's just to replace the two Ally Pally qualifying events. One Grand Slam spot also up for grabs.

Actually don't mind this, gives the best women some half decent prize money to play for, and reduces the risk of some oddity getting through (will Suzuki be able to play in this? Hope so anyway). Still a few questions to be asked, it looks like Ashton is eligible for this even though she has a tour card, if she wins through the Grand Slam qualifier, will her money count on the OoM? What in God's name are they doing with the (former?) BDO spots in the Grand Slam?

We've been tripping over announcements today and still want more, lol. The GSoD one will be the most interesting for sure. That thing needs surgery at the best of times, so let's see. It could mark a new era and throw the worst mushrooms into disarray = bonus.

We held it back very successfully I think.

Lisa Ashton's daughter seemingly suggesting that she can't do this as well as the PDPA qualifier?

This replaces the normal qualifier so still just the 2 as I read it

Why not yay? She's the 4th or at worst 5th best female player so once this is being played then it's good news she can play and have a chance at qualifying for both the Grand Slam and the World Champs.
