Worlds Seeds in the 'Last 64' Era: 2006-2020
Updated. Fifteen editions, stretching back to the Circus Tavern. 92 players from Jamie Harvey to MVG.
Note that Kyle Anderson should have been 28th seed in 2017 but had a visa scenario. 29-32 were bumped up and Cristo Reyes became 32nd seed, all as shown.
Yellow box if they won it.

I never knew Lloyd was still world number 1 in 2007.

That's how he ended up playing Barney (#32) in the Last 32 that year.
Only 5 of the 14 have been won by the no.1 seed. 7 of the failed attempts were by MvG (3) and Taylor (4). Lloyd the other 2.

The ultimate way to make people forget you're world #1, play one of the two outstanding players in round 2!

There's some history in the 1-v-32 match down the years. I like that one.thegentle wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2019 11:44 amThe ultimate way to make people forget you're world #1, play one of the two outstanding players in round 2!

Barney's numbers tell the story, like Wenger at Arsenal, first half was great then spent the rest ruining the legacy he had built. Barney even more so with his stinking attitude.

When you look at Van De Pas it just goes to show that you can go from zero, to hero and back to zero again in the space of a few yearsRogg wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2019 11:20 am Updated. Fifteen editions, stretching back to the Circus Tavern. 92 players from Jamie Harvey to MVG.

Merv and Stevie B just keep trucking along and I guess you gotta say when looking at these numbers that Bunting is probably underrated a lot of the time and deserves credit for year on year remaining that consistent since joining despite going through severe patches within a few of those years.

He's won a grand total of one game since his first Worlds where he cried on Barney's shoulder, shows he's done well at other events to stay around the top 16SuperSwede wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 4:49 pm Merv and Stevie B just keep trucking along and I guess you gotta say when looking at these numbers that Bunting is probably underrated a lot of the time and deserves credit for year on year remaining that consistent since joining despite going through severe patches within a few of those years.

A sickening sight to be reminded that Jamie Caven somehow managed to be a top 32 player for 8 straight seasons. An amazing achievement considering that I can't recall seeing him win a single game.

To be fair he was a decent floor player for a long time, even won 2 titles on a weekend when the inaugural Dubai Masters was on.ThudThudThud3 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2019 2:18 am A sickening sight to be reminded that Jamie Cave-in somehow managed to be a top 32 player for 8 straight seasons. You must also have missed his run at the 2013 European Championship when he played brilliantly beating Chizzy and Wade, before completely choking against Whitlock in the Quarters. It was like he suddenly remembered he was on TV.
Been utter rubbish in every TV tournament before and since, and his floor form went not long after that too.
