(95.54) Cristo Reyes 3-2 Dimitri Van den Bergh (99.11) -- Both brilliant. Reyes 12/19 on doubles. Dimitri 9 180s and did little wrong.

(94.46) Darren Webster 3-2 Stephen Bunting (91.02) -- Bunter binned 7 match darts. Unreal Webster surge and won the tie-break.
I miss this version of Dimitri. That version of Reyes too, let's not forget his absolute madness of a game vs MvG in the next round. Alas, he was not to maintain that form...

Not total shit? --- (91.11) Phil Taylor 3-2 Michael van Gerwen (85.99)

Yep. Teenage MvG needs d12 to win 3-1. Stands back. Takes his time. Disaster. Taylor almost lost to everyone he played in that one before MARDLE finally flushed it.

Paul Lim vs Mark Webster two years ago, always nice to see the old man win on that stage.
Hard to believe that Webby was seeded as recently as then, he really did remarkably well to remain in the top 32 all that time after a seemingly never ending slump

For sure. I became a de Zwaan fan. I think he was 19, a ridiculously composed performance by him. Smith won in sudden death. Here's a leg woof:

I'm a fan too but when you get reminded that this was almost 4 years ago now you'd have to say he still hasn't fully delivered as he should yet, frustratingly lazy and sloppy it seems.

Not for me  I was waiting on Meulenkamp for the last leg of a first round acca for about 8x stake profit, was supremely confident even when he lost the first set. Panicked halfway through the second set and cashed out for less than 2x profit so then from that point was rooting for Diego and of course Meulenkamp found his game all of a sudden!

Still annoys me that one and since then have made it a rule to NEVER cash out.

Only time it's acceptable is if your favourite team/player is on the cusp of a 5,000-1 bet and you need to in order to save your sanity!

Cullen v Wattimena a few years back was a good one. Played all 5 sets in about half an hour from what I recall.

Priestly v Gando. Must have been nine years back on a Friday afternoon, was compelling

Two of mine have already been said.
Cullen and Cadby + Evans and Whitlock.

So I'm going to say: Adrian Lewis vs Nigel Heydon from 2012.

Well Dumbo was fantastic against Clayton in the corresponding round as recently as the last edition. He's played brilliantly in many matches at the Worlds down the (very few!) years. He's arguably overdue a complete disaster there... uhoh :)

Yep, brilliant. 20 legs in 29 minutes. Cullen missed a few match darts. Potential rematch in the last 32 this year.

King v West was a thriller a few years back. All over the place but very entertaining. West on 36 after 9 for the match. Merv came back from this lot to win it.

Started off terribly, but caught a bit of fire in the end, both men ended up with somewhat respectable 90 averages. Poor Krzysztof doesn't have it any easier this year as he searches for a first win on that stage
