Change it to Wright vs MvG in a final and its an interesting question. As it stands he would fall over the line vs some muppet like Smith, while White is just a lost cause.

Would give it to Peter Wright simply because he's not up against MvG this time!

Yep, Wright has at least won a Major Final.

At least Wright only loses to Van Gerwen. White has keeled over, peeled back his cheeks and presented his arsehole to Hamilton, Whitlock, Thornton, Suljovic and Dobey on the Quarter Finals stage.

White. He needs viagra. Can't even achieve a semi.

Obviously Wright has to win this hands down after what we have seen last Sunday.

Wtf are all these people voting for White smoking. Wright has failed against MvG Taylor and GAndo, odds are good he would clean up against any bigger chokers in a final.

White however has failed against literaly everyone in trying to get to a semi final. He could play against an empty room and find a way to lose if TV cameras were there.

Ha. People clearly aren't feeling very charitable towards Wright at the moment.

Maybe cheer them all up with this demonstration of how you do it. Quite the contrast:

White had his first SF attempt back at the PC Finals in 2013... here are the players that managed to get into a ranking major SF since then. (including the PC Finals itself and the 2018 UK Open)

van Gerwen, Hamilton, Taylor, Pipe, Wright
Whitlock, A Lewis, T Jenkins, King, G Anderson
Wade, Bunting, van Barneveld, van der Voort, Newton
Gilding, M Webster, Thornton, Suljovic, M Smith
Gurney, Klaasen, Chisnall, D Webster, Price
Norris, Henderson, K Anderson, Cross, Clayton
J Lewis, Pallett, Cadby, Owen, de Zwaan
Cullen, Hopp, Noppert, Aspinall, Durrant, Dobey

(41 players)

The players in red are the ones White lost to (he lost to MvG twice).

I thought this thread was about the first round Euro Champs match between White and Smith who should definitely be on this list.

King, Durrant and Ross the Boss have all sorted him out on tv this year. An unlikely trio.

Not to forget Chin, Stevie West and JdZ (x2!) last year as well. Cross too.

Phil retiring has had a huge impact.

As for the OP topic: Wright. He's actually won TV titles.

Just as well they didn't engrave those trophies a leg, a set, an hour, a day, a week or a year in advance.
Not that they actually engrave most of them but still.

Convenient to bump this back up.

Anyone who voted for White after today's shitshow against Noppert needs slapping.
