Smith-Neale has said a couple of times on twitter that prize money is the same as last time. Ehh, who knows. One of Des' famous promises maybe.

What would be the consequences of at least cutting the men's first prize by 30%+? I can't think of any.

It's a long shot but after the PDC world's could there then be a boost in ticket sales? At that time of the year people just want more darts, I know I do.

Genuine question.

Do they usually get a sales surge around the Xmas and New Year period? If not, then they look completely fucked.

Generally no as most would sort out Lakeside tickets, travel and accommodation way before Christmas. This is the start of the holiday year for most in employment, plans need making!

The regulars that turned up at Lakeshite, every year, and stayed over, i doubt very much will turn up in droves to the 02.
If they cancelled the masters, and held their world championship there, the crowds would probably be the same, non existent, how do they
expect a completely new venue to get the crowds...Lakeshite was the BDO World Chamionship, faults and all ..

Can't see them selling 30% of tickets even if there was a late push on sales, If they discount the ticket prices to try and drive sales up then will cause mayhem with those who have paid full whack, Again if tickets are given away free then there will be disgruntled fans...Don't think they will turn this one around.

More so when the tickets are more expensive, They should have went with the Circus Tavern, at least they could pad the crowd out with the other players, and it
s a place associated with darts, well it was till the Masters rolled into town  02 is doomed to failure. I will be honest, i will miss the Lakeshite, not just for the darts, but the laughs it gave us on here

The laughs are guaranteed, if the event itself is.

Surely they should offer free tickets for the Tuesday sessions? With the few who have already paid money to attend those sessions getting seating priority.
