World Cup of Darts 2019
As things stand I Beleive that England have a great chance to win this with Cross and Smith provisionally being the two to represent the country for the World Cup of Darts.
Will be interesting to see whether the PDC or Sky will find an excuse to boot Barney in for the Dutch now that Wattimena is the second best player from the Netherlands.
Scotland should be represented by Gary and Dufus in any case I guess.

Bezzeg returned to play at the weekend at the national league, I'm afraid he will qualify for this again...

I see Rogg has morphed into Beppe. Cut off is late May after the Dutch Darts Masters, right?

Order of Merit rankings by country look pretty set, don't see anyone upsetting the apple cart. Be interesting to see which countries get included, and who will accompany those players who are their nation's sole tour card holderSafc wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2019 12:02 pm At min more than 1 tour card nations looking like this

Re: World Cup of Darts 2019
Hopefully any problems the PDC have had with the Philippines have been solved, got a dangerous looking team there. Maybe Portugal and Lithuania will be included too, though I'm not aware of any other Portuguese player. Would like John Part to have one last swansong, though I guess he may have to play the CDC for that

Would be good to include Portugal and Lithuania though I'm not sure who you leave out, especially if the Philippines were to return as well. Re: World Cup of Darts 2019
I remember Switzerland got a late invite in 2017 when Latvia pulled out, I saw Razma post on Twitter that he's not that keen on the World Cup because of family reasons, so I guess we won't see them. Switzerland actually did quite well last year, they beat China and then Alex Fehlman beat Gerwyn Price in the singles so maybe it would be harsh to drop them, but I would like to see Darius or even de Sousa at this event. Unfortunately some of the worst teams there are among the ones most unlikely to be binned for reasons away from the dartboard (China, Gib etc.), but I guess if they were to include the Philippines, they could do a like for like south east Asian swap and take out Thailand? The Thorn wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2019 1:28 pmWould be good to include Portugal and Lithuania though I'm not sure who you leave out, especially if the Philippines were to return as well. Re: World Cup of Darts 2019
Yeah I'm not that interested in Thailand. I would think Philippines is a better market and has more darting going on but I've no clue exactly. I think if they exclude a country it would have to be Switzerland, honestly I only recognize Andy Bless and that's solely because they have been parachuted into the World Cup in the first place. And true about Latvia with Razma as well, too many countries to pick lol

Re: World Cup of Darts 2019
José Pinto is more of a soft-tip guy I think, but has played the last three Q Schools. Nothing spectacular (77 average in this year's according to DC), but probably decent enough to not be embarrassing if he's there alongside de Sousa.

I expect Yorkshire will name their international line up soon enough.

Will be harsh on McGeeney, if England leaves him out of this.
