Re: PDC Development Tour 2019 (+World Youth Championship)
Meikle beats de Zwaan again, decent enough numbers from the two, but it's not been the best of starts to the season from de Zwaan. You'd think he'd regularly go far in these, on paper he's probably the best player in the field

Riley's qualifier Brian Raman smacks in a 9er. The only leg he won in that match.
Final is Andrew Davidson v Ted Evetts.

Didn't really hear of Davidson before, apparently he had a bit of a run in 2016 at the UK Open as a qualifier beating Dekker and Reyes in the process.

Ted wins again, this time 5-1.
From Erik:
Ted Evetts wins another Development Tour event this weekend, denying Andrew Davidson to become the first Scot ever to win one. It is Evetts' 6th win on the tour. Only 3 players have won more. 16 year old Keane Barry had a great debut and is 5th in the rankings.

a few letters off but guessing he meant percentage. Some might say it is only semantics but I think a few real statisticians would argue in this case percentage and probability are a far cry from each other.

Re: PDC Development Tour 2019 (+World Youth Championship)
Back today for the second Development Tour weekend. Current tour leader Ted Evetts is missing from events 5-6 having qualified for ET3 (like Schindler, who also missed the first weekend because of the German Superleague) though they could possibly be back for tomorrow if they lose their first round matches in Munich. I'm sure Evetts will end up smashing this tour even if he has to miss a few events, but Schindler at the moment could really do with having the DT as a fall back now that he's not doing so well on the main tour

Make that 5 in a row, into the semi finals. Surprising to see Premier league contender, pro tour winner, match play semi finalist de zwann doing well on the development tour.

Re: PDC Development Tour 2019 (+World Youth Championship)
Been a bit of discontent over de Zwaan being allowed to compete in this. Some are suggesting all tour card holders be barred from the DT, which would be crazy in my opinion, though I can see the argument for someone like de Zwaan not being allowed. Obviously he's not exactly been dominating the DT historically, but how much is he really going to be gaining from this? Surely he'll be doing all his learning on the main tour at this stage in his career

Banning all card holders would be crazy. I could see restricting it to players outside top 64thegentle wrote: ↑Sat Apr 20, 2019 5:18 pm Been a bit of discontent over de Zwaan being allowed to compete in this. Re: PDC Development Tour 2019 (+World Youth Championship)
No problem with any player, tour card or not for the 'development tour' as the name suggests its the development for young players. A 23 year olds competing in with the world Youth championship doesn't seem right to me though!
