Re: Rob Cross
Thanks for the welcome. I agree with those who've said that he has still been playing well just without getting the results. I think the big chance, as well as the massive pressure after winning the WC, has been that his self-belief and killer instinct has gone, and with that his throw has become more ragged and less consistent. Vicious circle, though, and I think he needs to win a big TV tournament soon to avoid sinking in the rankings.

Welcome aboard mate.
Think it's too early to write him off.

Re: Rob Cross
Darts is an easy game when you have talent. The PDC has so many talented players. It was easier for Cross to do so well with no added pressure and he won the worlds as a result, which he deserved. I still think his action, under pressure will be his achilles heel. The amount of money he has to defend will put more and more pressure on him. He now needs to show character when things aren't going well!

Re: Rob Cross
He's got enough ability to stay in the top 10. In that group of 8/9 players below MVG and Anderson who are all capable of winning a major.

Re: Rob Cross
It probably is a case of hitting the big time far too early. But he has achieved something in the worlds that outside of Taylor, Anderson and Van Gurner looks a level above everyone else. He might not get back there anytime soon but knowing you have the game and bottle to win the worlds beating the best in the world and the goat back to back must give him confidence even if his throw is looking snatchy. Would still fancy him in a big final against Smith or Gurney who are both far more experienced and tour hardened

Re: Rob Cross
So as he's clearly not a one hit wonder, how many can he win?

Re: Rob Cross
If he keeps applying himself properly and his non MvG opposition remains weak willed then he can and prob will win shit tons.
Boring Brendas number one and (almost) only fan.
Smithys number one and (definitely not) only hater.

Re: Rob Cross
Seems to be chucking a lot more clean this year. I think he'll end up a bit like James Wade. Takes a lot of humpings off the World no. 1 but can make mincemeat of any of the others if he gets knocked out by someone else.

Would like to see Harrington do one of his players throws videos on water lover, to see his actual grip and throwing action close up..He would probably need a jug of water on the stage

Re: Rob Cross
He was actually OK for most of the event tbf, just the final he was below what you'd expect of a world number two, though he'd snap your hand off for a 95 average now!
