If it's true that you can judge a Matchplay by its afternoon session... not looking too bad really!

The losing players' averages in Round 1 last year were bloody awful. No idea why.

Fair few debutants among that lot, and/or players who had expended a lot of energy just getting there, with unfortunately a lot of dead wood still there. Poor Pricey had the moon boot on too, not long after his chastening Premier League experience, fair fucks for bouncing back from that!
