2019 PDC World Matchplay (July 20-28)

Post by Rogg » Sat Feb 09, 2019 9:39 pm

Early (very) race table thanks to Erik.

Erik Middelkoop 🎯 @eamiddelkoop
With 26 Pro Tour events and the UK Open yet to come before the cut-off date, the World Matchplay is still far away. Nevertheless, here an updated race table. Wattimena puts himself in position today. Ratajski leads the Pro Tour table, thanks to his double victory last year.

GD just having a peek. Thanks to Burton.

Burton DeWitt‏ @bsd987
Stephen Bunting hanging onto the last spot in the Matchplay as things stand, with 9 players within £2,000 of him as things stand.
Ratajski, Evans, Noppert, Searle, Schindler, Aspinall, and Meulenkamp in line for debuts.

I think just about £35,000 will be the cut-off.

Wonder if #38 reckons he can make it to Blackpool?

Many new names there which is decent. Bunting in trouble though, that's a really bad floor record from a player just outside the top 16

Why did Hopp skip the weekend? Probably won't end up costly, but he's not exactly set in stone for Blackpool yet

That's him out on countback for now actually, I'd imagine he'll be there or thereabouts come June, he has enough jobbiness in him yet

Maybe he could have dragged Taylor down, we will never know.

Will be interesting to see how the new European Tour qualifying system will affect this. Slightly harder for most Europeans to qualify for Euro Tour events, but then once they're there, they have a better chance of a kinder draw

Incomplete list given that ET 1/2 qualification money hasn't been added, but that's three Germans in provisional qualifying spots. Would be rather interesting if it stays like that!

Dimitri getting there slowly (not without a few setbacks already this season), but de Zwaan has work to do, could have done with not cocking up against Robbe last night
