Makes me laugh the way people jump on a player because they have one good run here or there. Every PC some player gets labeled as turning a corner and they are now going to kick on.

I think DvDB played well, but watching him with the approach he had getting in his own head doesn't bode well for him. Nothing fluid in his play, the constant stopping and heavy breathing, all display complete lack of confidence and or even fear. Not sure he has the head for all this to be a top player. One good run or result or a couple 100 ave isn't making a great player or even a good player.

As usual, Ando and Cadby are out of PC5/6, as well as MvG and Kist. Whitlock skipping 5, you'd be forgiven for thinking he's skipped the first 4 too!

Agreed. The floor run is great for Dimitri but he had a few more important results, like the Grand Slam and Worlds QFs and the world youth titles. The jury is still out on whether he can do it every week, and in the big events. I hope he can but let's not get ahead of ourselves.

"Swallowed up". Not sure how it's possible to get this wrong, given how often it had been repeated.
