Anderson will never get stripped of the title as the biggest crybaby on tour.

Not that I think this incident warrants such a punishment, but nobody's going to be deterred until you start issuing bans. What's a £20k fine when you've just won over £100k?

Agreed, I'm actually glad they are finally cracking down on stuff like this. Just a disappointment that Anderson got nothing which is clearly wrong

Re: Will Beppe finally stop crying now?
Correct but I would say that fine was ridiculous. Should have been much more. 3k or 5k means fuck all to these players

Quite a lot when you consider he's more than likely lost £40k in tax first ( probably not as much as that but that's an example, MH will know the best way around it), so a third of the take home goes on the fine leaving £40k. Agree though, bans would hurt the players far more.

Re: Will Beppe finally stop crying now?
Before this I thought he would get away with it lightly. However I'm not so sure now.
The DRA specifically says in the statement that "These actions were in the Quarter-Final and Final of a prestigious televised event and drew an unprecedented number of complaints from members of the public." (Which is BS by way)
So if you go on that, Wade could get a similar fine. Though I don't remember him having a previous offence recently so I'd say it should be 10k or so

Re: Will Beppe finally stop crying now?
The James Wade thing got some serious mainstream attention at the biggest competition of the year. Where the Gerwyn Price thing got people talking, it was mostly kept within the little darting circle, whereas the Wade thing was picked up big time on social media and the like. There were also some pretty blatant and unapologetic racial undertones from Wade after the match.
So I fully expect him to get a formal warning.
