8 qualifiers each from the Challenge and Development Tours for next year's UK Open, keeping the 16 shamateur qualifiers. I guess the 8 highest DT players who don't get a tour card won't be quite of the same standard as their Challenge Tour equivalents, but it's not as if the Challenge Tour players made much of a splash this time around, and it's good to give the young players some experience

Doesn't say there, but I guess if there's a player who does both, they'll get in via the Challenge Tour, freeing up a space via the Development Tour

Honestly I think the change is fair enough. Though the DT players can enter the CT as well, so at least it would have made sense if the extra places go to CT players if a player gets in via both tours.
