I'd be genuinely happy for him if he won a TV event, but it's just so disappointing for one of the most talented players in the world to have such a poor record on the telly

Oche is right though. Fair play to White, he's in great form but all this circle jerking around him and people calling for him to be in the PL happened last year too. We know what happened in the TV events. (especially that painful Ally Pally choke against Petersen FFS, he could have well made a semi there)

I hope he breaks his duck as it's simply frustrating to see someone who is capable to play great but never bring it when it matters. However until that happens, we have to be sceptical.

In any case, White is certainly one of the most talented players in the world, he was in the top 8 for overall averages for the whole of last season. But there's more to being a top player than mere talent, you've got to have the application and bottle too, and unfortunately on TV, White lacks the latter

Cant agree more, however said person has included people in his mythical "top 10" on the back of streamed/non-streamed results before, so there is a bit of hypocrisy here.
