Personally I loved the Champions League, especially the sponsors totally fucking up the 180 markets. Long may it continue.

Been saying for a while that the Masters is completely meaningless. Uncle Barry trying to re-create the Snooker Masters but it just doesn't work in its present format. Too similar to all the other minor 'Majors' and no impact on the rankings.

Now that they have no UK Open Qualifiers they could move the UK Open to the last weekend in January.

If they want to inject some meaning into the Masters, they could move it to later in the year and make it set play. Would at least give it a point of difference.

Honestly I feel the date is right. One full month after the Worlds, it's just about the time you start to crave for darts again. The format is uninspiring though. I'll only watch a few PL nights so I'd really love if there was some proper darts before or during the PL. But just can't care about the Masters in its present form.

As many people suggest every year, a short format best of 3 would be great.

Or fuck it, have an event with 32 tour card qualifiers. Granted this could end up in a disaster but I'd love to see it. Isn't snooker like this all the time, with many tournaments having qualifying rounds? It would be interesting to see something like that in darts instead of a season long merit based qualifying all the time. Scrap the Grand Slam tour card qualifiers and give players an incentive like this.
