Is that total number of people who watched, or the average number of people tuning in at any given time? Wiki gives a figure of nearly 3 million for last year, seems a sharp fall
No idea where the number on Wikipedia originated. The one I can find for last year is 2.15 million, but that's the average for the actual broadcast of the final only; this year's average viewership of 850,000 is for the full 4-hour broadcast including the pre-game buildup. The pre-game stuff was seen by less than half a million last year, so you can imagine how much it probably dragged down the figures this year.
Eyeballing the numbers I'd guess the game itself was seen by about 1.6 to 1.8 million this time.

Here we have a statement about Lakeshite from Uncle Des. He says that "all negatives will be addressed, in particular the ladies prize monies and their current playing format"
Also about the production: "the future collaboration between the BDO and Input Media is quite frankly a ‘no brainer'"
"Stay tuned folks because February is going to be one of the most important months of the year and
the decisions we make will hopefully put us back into the commanding position we were in 20 years ago and should impress the most cynical of critics!!"
Fucking hell.
It'll be Easter in a minute. Can anyone recommend a catering partner to help things along?

PDC World Championship Semi-Final #1: (105.22) Michael Smith 6 - 3 Nathan Aspinall (100.53)
BDO World Championship Semi-Final #1: (85.29) Scott Waites 6 - 1 Michael Unterbuchner (83.22)
"Phil Taylor is the only difference between the codes"
I still reckon Waites would beat Aspinall if they played though far more times than not.
Maybe but i think he woukd choke match darts in tv matches vs the Cokehead.
