The cut-off for this is after the World Matchplay. it creeps up.

Thanks to Burton:

Of the top 8 would be better of Whitlock dropped out, but the others competing for top 8 don't overly excite either

Hope Chizzy makes it. I think he will do better than Smith at the Matchplay so it should be easy enough.

Whitlock is dire but in fairness this shows how consistent he is. Hope Smith makes it.

Entering this weekend's Euro Tour would have helped the cabbage.

The one they all want to win. Why? Because Mensur won it, anyone else is living in a river in Egypt!

On that note, Champions League titles: Suljović 1-0 Salah

+1

This race will be settled after Blackpool then. Smith losing to Clayton tomorrow night would make things especially interesting. Not sure I want to see his big sad face on the BBC again after the last time.

Amazing really when you consider all the gimp prophecies of the PDC crashing when Taylor retires

Is he still the only difference between the codes?

It was nice of Taylor to stick around until he had completely outstayed his welcome. It's not just that the PDC has better depth to replace him now; many people genuinely seem to miss the Taylor of 2017 a whole lot less than they would have missed the Taylor or 2012 or even earlier.

It wasn't only gimps. Remember that old doom article from January 2011 after Taylor lost to Webby at Ally Pally : viewtopic.php?f=9&t=6535&p=749999&hilit ... re#p749999
Darts has been clinging to the coat-tails of Taylor’s phenomenal talent for two decades. The prospect that it may now be on the wane has grave consequences for both.

The PDC’s challenge is to construct a viable post-Taylor future. “The Power is out!” John Gwynne roared as Taylor was eliminated. It remains to be seen whether any of his successors can generate enough electricity to keep the show on the road.

I really don't want Whitlock to qualify for this.
