Tried in one event but failed to qualify. I think you can only do 2 events a year without having played Q-School or something like that?
Is it only for Germans? Székely hasn't tried q-school yet, still participated in all of the Eastern European qualifiers.
The rule applies to the Western European and the host nation qualifiers. So the Nordic/Baltic and Eastern European qualifiers are fine. Makes sense because not too many people from those regions would be playing Q-School so the qualifiers would be empty.

Yeah, and even before the rule was introduced this year he only played the Euro Tour qualifiers when the events were local to him. Three times Munich, nothing else.

I suppose he is still pretty new to the BDO, so one more year probably wouldn't make him go full Harms, though I'd have liked to have seen him give it a go

That's a shame, so he's wasting at least one more good year in the BDO. Especially as a German player I'm sure he would do well if he switched. Seems like Waites' remark that 90% of the top BDO players will go Q-School is way over the top.
I think he's much like Nopper. Pay no attention to what the BDO is up to and make the move once your personal circumstances are good. Pick the January where you'll be immaculate. I like that. I care not for the dawdling and wibbling of others, Glen.

No choice for Rest of the World players this time?
Details of the 2019 PDC Q-School will be published following the final tour event of the season on the 27th November 2018:

The two qualifying school events will be split between European players and players from the UK, Ireland, Gibraltar and the Rest of the World.

The World Master speaks. Sounds like he doesn't know much about what to do but he does love the ranking points. Whole interview from about 15m:
"I think at the minute I'll be sticking with the BDO for a year cuz obviously I've won the first ranking event of the year so it puts me at the top, so I think it would be silly to throw that away."

Aiming for a tour card or aiming for Lakeside 2020? Yeah, that's a tough choice.

Glen Durrant: “It would be very easy to stay with the BDO but I’m looking for that final challenge”

"I wasn't motivated for the World Masters this year, there wasn't a lot of interest there for me, and that's a scary thought when that's our second biggest tournament."

Painful.

Oh dear
I still don't think he will switch..
When he says things like "Q School is not easy" and "The tour circuit is pretty gruelling" and " I have a good job that I have been in for 30 years" you can see that he is not up for the fight.
Lakeshite and exbos for duzza next year I think
