The sad thing is that Taylor would walk in and actually give far more of a fuck and try far harder than half the people in it right now. The money hungry fucker would probably make finals night at a canter on sheer power of will alone.

Week 1, Newcastle - Dobey
Week 2, Glasgow - Duzza
Week 3, Dublin - Lennon
Week 4, Exeter- Humphries
Week 5, Aberdeen - Hendo
Week 6, Nottingham - Aspinall
Week 7, Berlin - Hopp
Week 8, Rotterdam - Dimitri and JdZ

No Whitlock or Chizzy is pretty surprising.

That is honestly the worst idea I have ever seen.

To try and claim this is the '3rd most important title' like they do, yet pull mickey mouse shit like this, is utterly laughable.

Durrant plays Gurney in Glasgow and that's probably the only game I give a fuck about of these.

I know he's pretty local, but who ever thought Hendo would get the chance to play on a Premier League stage?

So someone will get to play Hendo, then someone will get to play Jeffrey de Zwaan, with points up for grabs for the full-timers.

Do they not see why that's a big fucking problem?

Points won by the nine contenders will not count towards the league table, however their opponents will retain any points gained from the matches.
Not so sure about this.

Yeah, it makes a complete joke of the event.

Also a big fuck you to Whitlock, Chisnall et al. They will be fucking raging, Simon especially.

It's stuff like this that makes it clear that darts is so, so, so far behind other sports. The guys in charge of the actual sporting side of it are rank fucking amateur.

It's only because it has the BDO for company that it looks as 'professional' as it does.

Edited so it includes their opponents. Bit unfair for some to have to play JdZ or Duzza for points and others get Henderson or Lennon.

Hendo must be in on looks alone, not ability. PDC cashing in on his poster boy looks!

Dunno how I feel about this, would it have been too short notice to shunt someone in for a full 9 weeks (maybe more?). Good for the young lads to get a taste of the Premier League experience, healthy for the game I guess, but they are just exbos. It is what it is though, the credibility of the Premier League has taken a bit of a kicking of late, I've definitely lost a bit of interest over the last year or so, but it's still better than the Masters and about half the events on TV at the moment

It says an awful lot that I'm disappointed they didn't just stick Chizzy in.

They didn't even give Simon enough time to tweet how much he was looking forward to it.

Can't feel too sorry for them tbf, they had their chance. Bit harsh I guess for them not to even get the proverbial bone chucked at them, but it'll be slightly more interesting to see the young lads like Hendo given a go

I wouldnt have a huge problem with it had they said the points won in these games dont count.

Also I am fucking annoyed as i have £1k on there to be an average over 108.5 in the event, Ando pulling out was bad enough but will these games count towards the bet? Fucks sake.
