Disappointing night, Aspinall is understandable given the whirlwind two weeks he's had (and it's just an exbo to him so it doesn't really matter), but I expected much more from Price-MvG. I thought that MvG would be back to his best at least but he was far off that for much of the game, and Price was even worse. 14 straight against Price for MvG now, must be playing on his mind

Getting to the business end of the first stage now, these games are becoming crucial all of a sudden. Despite playing shit for ages, the next two games are definitely not easy, but as winnable as it gets in the Premier League for Barney, and as Gurney has to play MvG next week there is a slight chance he may even overtake him going into Judgement Night. Wouldn't bet on it though! Price is suddenly hanging on, difficult game against a Cross next week who despite the UK Open final seems to be back to something like his best this year. At least one of Wright and Wade will drop points, so suddenly Suljovic or Smith can get right back in the top 4 picture too. I guess despite the lack of drama, it wasn't all bad tonight as the league is looking very tight again

While Barney probably won't be getting any favours from the crowd (certainly not to the extent of Glasgow), Hopp doesn't have that mental A-game that some of the contenders have. Not a bad fixture for him at all
