Steve West's second Euro Tour semi-final on the spin all but secures a third successive appearance in the Grand Prix, as Ricky
Evans and Brendan Dolan charge towards the provisional qualification spots.

Felt odd not having Brendan there last year, are we ready for some more history?
Even if we don't, he's still got the towel ;)

More importantly, yesterday's run has presumably put Steve Beaton back into a Qualification spot?

A casual glance suggests this. He won 3k yesterday... good old Steve.

Probably needs one more decent run between now and the cutoff.

And will undoubtedly get it.

Thanks to B. Payne, Dobey and Noppert the 3 players currently in this who weren't in Blackpool. Replacing Klaasen, Kyle and North.

Gary Anderson's 7th PDC Premier Ranking title—third most in PDC history—secures the #4 seed to Dublin, as Danny Noppert moves into the provisional qualification spots at the expense of Alan Norris.

The 3 new names look nice and promising. Who's to say one of them can't have a run like Jeffrey just did in Blackpool. Although I'm a bit baffled as to what happened to Kyle Ando

Maybe he could have dragged Taylor down, we will never know.

Dobey doesn't seem to have the game to get to the next level..
Still plenty of time for him though.
I would like to see J Lewis come good again, as I had high hopes for him after ally pally,
Also not so big Ron and Schindler would be great to see in there

Yep, very promising. I don't think any of them are as good a prospect as de Zwaan, but they are no doubt more interesting than the guys clogging up events, and are that bit more seasoned in big events than the new lads who made Blackpool

Fringes of the top 16 seems to be about his limit to me, no shame in that at all mind

I don't think he will make it that high but he does have time on his side..
Taylor was singing his praises last year, saying he thought he had the potential to get to the top but I am not so sure.. I would like to see him do well though
We should see a fair number of the current 16-32 ranked players falling down the rankings within the next two or three years, so the opportunity is there for guys like Lewis, dobey, Payne, Dimitri, Wattimena, JdZ , Meulenkamp, Hopp, Cadby and Schindler to break in to top 30

Wattimena on all evidence doesn't have the consistency to trouble the upper echelons either.

Wouldn't surprise me if Wattimena gets hot Nicholson/Newton-style for two or three years at some point.

He may be another Klaasen..
Capable of flashes of class, but way too inconsistent to make it.
I think he can cause upsets in the majors if he makes it but just as likely to get battered in the next round

I'm not remotely convinced.
Don't think Clayton will make it either.

Doubt Wattimena will be anything huge. Clayton has a far better chance I think

Clayton has a better chance but his action doesn't fill me with confidence.

Fancy sully for the WGP and the boy De zwaan. I was really impressed by De zwaans finishing I am certain he will win majors and WC at some point.

He's not young, and, Players Championship aside, he's put in some horrible performances on the telly. I'm not sure if that's something he can get over, or whether he's gonna be the next Ian White
