The BDO is struggling to even get coverage for a few TV tournaments. Imagine a PL when they have to get TV rights for 10+ nights.

Of course no one would fucking watch it, apart from a few nutjobs like you. Only hardcore fans watch BDO these days, and they generally don't really like the PDC Premier League compared to other TV tournaments. Imagine the same with BDO players, an awful standard, would be totally pointless.

Obviously every half decent player is gone now (Bunting, Norris, Wilson, Menzies, Hughes, Noppy only in the last 3-4 years)
The ones who remain are mostly uninspiring and not great to watch, even if you don't consider standard they play at (Durrant, McGeeney, Mitchell, Williams etc)

TL;DR They couldn't do it when the organisation was in much better health 10 years ago. Fuck all chance now.

Trying building a ten-man BDO PL around say 2000 shows how much of a start they had on the PDC in this area.

Barney, Spineless, King, Fordham, Hankey, Mardle, Mason, Finton, O'Sheep, Stompe, David, G-Anderson, George, Beaton, Baxter... people like that. All infused with years of BBC exposure while the PeeDeeCee was largely hidden away.

Therefore if the #bdofamily support the BDO and sell out new events, then it's a commercial certainty to attract TV and Large Sponsors?
