Re: 2018 PDC World Matchplay (July 21-29)
Field looks surprisingly good, not too many of the old guard left in there. Beaton clinging on but to be fair he's still decent and his style has always been good to watch so don't mind him. Would like to see J.Lewis and De Zwaan make it but couldn't pick guys who I'd like to see miss out either.
Benito would need a really big push to make it, Cristo Reyes would need a fucking miracle. Their downfall is quite notable, a year ago both been viewed as young talented lads, even talk about PL spots and so on.

Jeffrey de Zwaan is tentatively in the last Matchplay spot, as good weekends for Bunting, James Wilson, and Adrian Lewis make their Blackpool spots more secure.

Who was the last non-Tour Card holder to get into the Matchplay?Rogg wrote:

Would be an incredible achievement for Ratty if he managed it.

Dobey still a chunk short despite winning 7k this weekend. He really was a fackin mile away.
Now to the Euro Qualifiers on Thursday. Chances for JdZ to build a cushion for what would be a fabulous achievement - only won a card 2 months ago.

Think it was Joe Murnan. Won a PC without a card in 2015 and got into the WMPFiss Plaps wrote:Who was the last non-Tour Card holder to get into the Matchplay?Rogg wrote:

Ahh balls. That table is wrong, tragically. No thanks to Burton, thanks to Burton.
Burton DeWitt @bsd987
Here's the corrected Matchplay tables, due to a major mistake on Jeffrey de Zwaan's total. Apologies for the mistake. All those involved in the making of the mistake (me) have been sacked by me.

Updated Matchplay qualification tables. Keegan Brown moves closer to a Matchplay return. No changes from last week as to who makes up the tentative 32 qualifiers.

Dobey so close now. Mansell still a chunk short, wonder if he'll do anything ever again.
Adrian might yet get himself into the low Blackpool seeds which would fuck something up briliantly.

A pair of Euro Tour qualifications, plus a good run today, moves Jamie Lewis into a tentative Matchplay qualification spot.

Don't look now*, but a double-qualification night has pulled Max Hopp to within £2,000 of Mervyn King for the last provisional Matchplay spot.
*Too late, you just looked

Max Hopp surges from 26th to the #1 provisional Matchplay ProTour spot at the expense of Jamie Lewis, as Mervyn King and Jelle Klaasen improve their positions and Benito van de Pas gives himself a fighting chance
