How many WC's does Rob Cross win

Taylor will be pissed off if Cross doesn't manage another world title, and that his flash in the pan came during what happened to be Taylor's last professional tournament.

I think taylor preferred this ending to being raped by mvg in the last match of his career..KingMervtheFirst wrote:Taylor will be pissed off if Cross doesn't manage another world title, and that his flash in the pan came during what happened to be Taylor's last professional tournament.

One hit wonder Rob seems to be living up to the little WC star on his collar. How many events has he won this year?
He's a good player, no doubt...but I love seeing him choke vs the likes of Mensur. I fear he's in over his county head.

I think Cross will be back. He's inexperienced and has to deal with situations and pressures he doesn't know about. He was in great form last year, which was great, but then he started winning Pro Tours and with that came expectation, and thus bringing new pressures. He dealt with that brilliantly, staying on the crest of a wave and went on to win the biggest of all, the World Championship. That's the peak, and how do you avoid a fall? Now there's the pressure and sponsorship obligations of being World Champion. He has to deal with that now. No wonder he's making mistakes along the way.

Definitely so, he went into the back end of last season under no pressure, and although a lot of people were talking about him, he was still the underdog and had no pressure on him.PT13 wrote:I think Cross will be back. This year he has the added pressure of world champ on his shoulders, as well as the expectation to win the majority of his games. The PL is a gruelling schedule for a player new to it all, so he will have had a total break up of the routine he had last year. Now the PL is over he can concentrate on the rest of the year, apart from the world series, which also will be an addition to his schedule.
He probably didn't know what to expect from the PL and he did make the SF, when in reality he wasn't fully fit.
I think he just needs a tournament win, even a PC event or Euro tour, to get himself back on track.
It might even be the world cup that kick starts his season, but I am sure he will be number 2 by the end of the year, overtaking Crusty
