They don't include the old finals any longer.
As it stands, the Players Championship GSOD table looks like this (OoM in brackets):
1. Merv (20th)
2. JDZ (48th)
- - - - - - - - - - -
3. Noppie (63rd)
4. Mansell (67th)
5. Aspinall (79th)
Assuming there are no new finalists or winners in any of the remaining eligible events, Noppie would get in assuming Cadby has to withdraw (which is probably highly likely).

That's probably it. Maybe tweeted during the Suljovic-Price match, yeah. A bit rich from coming from him, noise he makes.

No major surprises, although perhaps it's a little disappointing that Barney isn't even going to try to make the PC finals. Looks like Adie's friend will be off playing in the South/West European qualifier next weekend then

Agreed. Surely his lack of effort this year will see him finally removed from the PL ??

It should but I reckon he will still get a wildcard. Don't see him missing out, especially if he wins a couple games at the Grand Slam or Ally Pally

Bracing for yet another bullshit line about "commitment to the tour" shortly before the Worlds.

I will go out on a limb and say RVB won't get in the PL next year unless he's ranked in the top 10.

Won't he have to go on some massive runs to get back into the top 10? Isn't he due to lose about 100k from his OOM total?

Yeah he is defending quite a lot. Getting to the semis at Ally Pally would put him close to the top 10 I think.

Is this article on file and gets pulled out every year and published? Seems every darting site has this one on file and posts it every year about this time or shortly after Ally Pally.

Over £100k in just over two months, pretty impressive for a pub game

+1
I think this time he deserves a year out despite having two nights in Rotterdam.
