Chizzy on the wrong stage and with a bad draw. Still should make the final despite such sillyness.

The only stage he will be on after day one is the first one out of town.Chizzyfan wrote:Chizzy on the wrong stage and with a bad draw. Still should make the final despite such sillyness.

Cold weather at the moment, I've not checked the forecast for Friday but surely this tournament must be in doubt now ?

There's a steam train that departs just outside the complex, the stage went years ago!Randall wrote:The only stage he will be on after day one is the first one out of town.Chizzyfan wrote:Chizzy on the wrong stage and with a bad draw. Still should make the final despite such sillyness.
When you actually feel anger over a place like this it's time to get a life

Stroke of luck for Brown, after he had the misfortune of drawing Mensur in the first place. Benito has been playing a little better of late, but you'd still back Brown to do the businessThe Thorn wrote:Mensur pulls out due to family reasons. Benito to replace him.

A massive lifeline for Benito as well in possibly securing a second round place at Ally Pally. Otherwise it's the Milton Keynes qualifier for him...thegentle wrote:Stroke of luck for Brown, after he had the misfortune of drawing Mensur in the first place. Hmmm, yes, there were a few combinations of scenarios which on their own are perfectly feasible yet together are fairly unlikely, think he needed three of Hopp/Van den Bergh/Thornton/a few other players to go on a run and/or Reyes winning his first match to knock him out. Now it would need another Reyes win on top of that at the very least. If he beats Brown, then that really should just about seal itFiss Plaps wrote:A massive lifeline for Benito as well in possibly securing a second round place at Ally Pally. When I read that The Gentle had pulled out of the competition , I thought that I had won the tiebreakthegentle wrote:Hmmm, yes, there were a few combinations of scenarios which on their own are perfectly feasible yet together are fairly unlikely, think he needed three of Hopp/Van den Bergh/Thornton/a few other players to go on a run and/or Reyes winning his first match to knock him out. I'm assuming the tournament will still go ahead now that Ladbrokes sponsorship means the stage will be red. No word yet on whether Anderson was allowed to choose the shade...

Maybe gando could reach out to an underwear company as a new sponsor.
One who could sort him out with a pair of panties that don't bunch up quite so easily.

as he should be.Greipel wrote:Huybrechts is underdog against Beaton.
give beaton the slight edge throughout the whole season's results and
then bump that up another 10% since the summer.
huybrechts, like RVB, is also defending quarterfinal money in this.
head - beaton,
heart - huybrechts personally.

I know it's not the "group of death", but bodies will fall and be stripped of their shoes and gold fillings nevertheless.
(4) Peter Wright v (61) Toni Alcinas
(29) Max Hopp v (36) Steve West
(13) Stephen Bunting v (52) Richard North
(20) Mickey Mansell v (45) Madars Razma
an interesting bracket. four major potentials
