Aye, I don't trust Wright to fall over the line.
Wade at least knows how to win.

Wright could average 100 all the way through the event and wade could scrape his way to the final barely averaging 90 and you still know who'd win.sennafan24 wrote:Aye, I don't trust Wright to fall over the line.

Wright is the new Terry Jenkins.dartvader wrote:Only MvG and Anderson are definitely firmer favourites than wade right now for me. If he played Wright 10 times in tv finals he'd win the lot either you've got it in you or you haven't and wade has. Wright won 1 tv final against a player playing in his first final if he plays anyone with any experience in finals he loses.sennafan24 wrote:The Worlds is wide open this year.
Wade is one of 5 or 6 players that stand a chance of winning it. That's a 1 in 6 chance at best. Nevertheless, that's a better chance than I would have given him a month ago. I think he's more likely to win it than Wright.

At risk of boring you all Wade's big wins have invariably come once the form horses and favourites have been beat. Hence, The Thief of Bad Darts.
Should MvG and Gando fall there's no reason why Wade can't do what he does and take advantage

At the moment I agree.thegentle wrote:Indeed. MvG and Gando are looking vulnerable though, and whoever beats them would also be liable to have a bad day. In the very possible event of both of them getting knocked out, Wade would quite possibly be favouritetungsten tossers wrote:I still get the feeling that Wade can only win a major if MvG and Gando get beaten by somebody else.
I have been impressed with the way he has gone about his business over the past seven days but I am not sure he would win a final against MvG or Gando

Wright will never win anything. He blew his chances in last year's Premier League and in this year's Grand Prix.sennafan24 wrote:The Worlds is wide open this year.

I have faith that James Wade WILL win the world championship. Interesting to see the comments about Wright on here, but look at him now.

This post is now about Adrian Lewis.Potter's Lake wrote: ↑Sun Feb 04, 2018 5:27 pm To give this a serious post, if Wade can work on his game, there's a fair few 45+ year olds at the top who could make way for him to squeak another major in the next decade or so. Not the Worlds though.

People love to say that things will never happen. Why? It's weird. Plus Wright had already won one when Beppe said he'll never win anything, lol. Maybe I missed the memo about how his UK Open title didn't count.thegentle wrote: ↑Wed Aug 05, 2020 10:44 pmAny luck?BeppeBergomi wrote: ↑Thu Nov 08, 2018 8:46 amWright will never win anything. I must admit I never saw Wright dounv what he did, winning a minor major, sure, but not the big one!Rogg wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 1:34 pmPeople love to say that things will never happen. Why?
